Verified ReviewerReconnection worker not doing their job
I paid to have my service reconnected and stayed up all day after not sleeping to make sure we didn't miss the appointment. I called at 4 p.m.
to verify that I was still scheduled for reconnection. I was supposed to receive a call and didn't. They should have knocked and didn't. There are five people home, all of whom were waiting.
Now we have no clothes for work, no dishes to cook for our kids, and no water to allow our kids to do hygiene or drink because the dude just hung a door hanger and left. He did so sometime between 4:55 and 5 p.m. while I was in the bathroom, as I checked before and after.
Their customer service closes at 5, so I can't even call to complain. This is the kind of thing that makes people kill themselves.

Poor quality high prices
The water is barely drinkable turning my sinks brown. They got the water contract to charge as much as they can. Where are the government officials as this is price fixing.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. But took them 3 months to resolve it. Very step was initiated by us.
Total disgrace. Crooks take my money and fail to refund.
When confronted for the third time, they agree to send a check. However, it will take 6 weeks to process a simple check. It's fraud in plain sight.
These crooks should never be allowed to run a water supply company. How the Virginia Government allows them to operate is beyond me.

Verified ReviewerResolved: BAD SERVICE, NO WATER!
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. The pipes did freeze, and have done so once again.
We currently have water but I still say the problem lies with the new meter. This never happened in our house before.
Yesterday, 12/13/24 , Aqua came out and replaced our water meter, as they have stated they were doing all around the area. It was FINE until today.
We have no water at all! A tech was sent out and could find NO water pipes damaged and simply stated our pipes must be frozen. Well it's never happened in this house of over 40 years. I am no expert but I firmly believe it has a connection to this new water meter somehow.
WE NEED WATER IN THE HOUSE!!! WE CANNOT AFFORD PLUMBERS PRICES.
Preferred solution: WE WOULD LIKE TO GET IT FIXED SO WE CAN HAVE WATER AGAIN. WITHOUT HAVING TO SPEND A FORTUNE ON A PLUMBER. I AM DISABLED AND CANNOT AFFORD THIS.

The water line burst outside... got it fixed and submitted the repair bill...
the water bill was $700 and I still can't get credited...
had a customer service rep tell me there's no guarantee they will credit the repair! I hate this area that has Aqua as a utility service.

No pressure
Water main break. There doesnt seem to be any communication with customers as to what s going on and when water service might be restored.
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
Cant EVER speak to a human! Paid my bill over a week ago and got a text to pay same amount today.
For as much as you charge you need to do a better job communicating with your text company! Not my responsibility!!!

Verified ReviewerCustomer service agent was friendly and pleasant but didn’t really answer my question to my satisfaction. I am on auto pay and was charged $147 on May 3 and again in May 28. Twice in one month
I've been with Aqua for 9 years and have never been charged two payments in one month! Payments have always been made around the first part of the month.
Now I don't know how to budget since the auto pay date has changed. I did not get a good explanation!
Preferred solution: Explanation of double charge in same month.
Rude technician with anger problems throwing heavy steel water meter lid around which possibly could have damaged water meter and internet connectivity to read meter
Technician with severe anger and anger management problems. Better employee training and time management. Do not stress and overload your technicians with a workload they cannot possibly handle.

Come home from work and again cant even shower. Get an automated call while Im working to boil.
Boil what? All day again no water. I wish I had a choice in my water provider. This is too much.
Happens to much. Lived here a couple months and Im tired of NO WATER!
Its 7 at night already guess Ill be going to bed with no shower. Grrrrr and cant call them it gives no option to speak to someone to find out when we might have water.

Came out to replace a leaking meter on aqua's side and they went over board digging a huge hole just to replace it. They also dug up the survey markers I had.
Not just one but two large survey markers. Didn't notify anyone they were going to shut down the water beforehand, just showed up and started working. Couldnt complain because it was leaking for 3 MONTHS before they finally showed up.
At one point I called for a update and they closed the repair ticket without fixing the leak. HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!

I bought a small lot in a community and Livingston Texas. It is somewhere that I plan to go only on weekends occasionally and does not have a home on the property.
Aqua America is the only option for water so I called and had it connected. So far so good. I received my first bill again there was no usage but I thought maybe it was connection fees etc, and it was over $100. The following month I received my bill with zero usage the bargain price of $104.
Aqua charges a flat fee of $60 per month for sewer.
Normally this is based on your usage which I had none so the sewer fee should have been minimal. I have since discontinued service with aqua because I could not afford $104 per month just for the pleasure of maybe using a few gallons of water.

The "new website" doesn't recognize me. It claims to have sent a password reset to my email, yet I have not received it. I refuse to pay a fee for doing something, so you can call it "convenient." Nothing is convenient about wasting my time trying to pay a simple bill.
